My name is Michael Walter. I am a broadcast video editor with over 10 years of editing experience, currently serving as the Lead Editor and Team Administrator at Network 10 Australia (Paramount ANZ) in their Sydney Headquarters. My career spans a range of high profile projects, including primetime specials like In The Shadow Of The Towers (2021), and Young Talent Time: Unmasked (2021), hundreds of news packages straight from the 10 News First newroom, and a range of digital media spin-offs for popular productions like The Masked Singer and Dancing With The Stars.

I bring extensive experience across multiple disciplines, from journalistic work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom environment to more creative editing environments; producing promo spots for programs like Studio 10 or milestone coverage events for 10 News First. My work has been broadcast nationally in primetime spots, having edited a number of programs comissioned by Network 10, highlighting my strong narrative control, digital literacy and overall level of production skills. This diverse expertise enables me to adapt to any project with precision and creativity, all while having strong awareness of, and sensitivity to, a wide range of personal, political, social and ethical contexts.

 

I am known for my attention to detail and innovative approaches to problem solving. I excel in crafting interesting and compelling visual stories in my creative edits, my leadership skills helping head a talented team of editors, and implementing and streamlining workflows across the Network.
